Shams Veetil is an UAE based writer and Athmavilaasam is his first published book. It is a collection of his childhood to teenage life memories. The house he lived in, the yard where he played and grew up, the lagoons, ponds, and the people around in the village, etc. are beautifully pictured through his memories.
