The products is being made using 100% pure jute and we strive to do our best to do everything we can to lessen the impact on the environment. The jute fibers are first extracted by a process called retting wherein jute stems are bundled together and immersed in low, running water. After which, in a process called stripping, the non-fibrous matter is scraped off, while the fibers found inside the jute stem are retained for weaving by talented women artisans from India

The product is from India and it is manufactured in the North West region where the majority of jute cultivation takes place.
