The products is being made using 100% pure jute and we strive to do our best to do everything we can to lessen the impact on the environment. The jute fibers are first extracted by a process called retting wherein jute stems are bundled together and immersed in low, running water. After which, in a process called stripping, the non-fibrous matter is scraped off, while the fibers found inside the jute stem are retained for weaving by talented women artisans from India
