What problem it solve?

If you are looking for a personal collection out of the normal crowded items, this is the perfect piece for you. It is unique because it is handmade – no two products are the same. Our products are being made giving due respect to our tradition and we ensure the artisans are provided with the fair share for their work.

What makes it different from other products?

The art of creation is surrounded by traditional skills invested with the magical touch of an artist. Pottery is one of the oldest human inventions, originating before the Neolithic period. The making process involves a highly skilled potter who forms a wet ceramic (often clay) clump into objects of desired shapes and heats them to high temperatures (600-1600 °C) in a bonfire pit or kiln and induces reactions, leading to permanent changes like increasing the strength and rigidity of the objects. Lastly, it is glossed with natural varnish and decorated with alluring hand-painted motifs.

What it is made of?

Feldspar and Quartz are two materials that are used to add natural glaze to clay even before molding the offering. The glaze is enhanced with beautiful, intricate artwork that lends the offerings a vintage aesthetic.

The process starts with preparing the clay, two types of clay material are produced - liquid clay and solid clay. The prepared clay is then poured into a mold, commonly created with Plaster of Paris (POP), and left to dry. The dried, semi-finished offerings are buffed with sandpaper. Mughal art is often the inspiration behind the hand-painted designs. The traditional Mughal art is painted with cobalt (Cb)-bluish color followed by a colorless lead (Pb) glazing. The final offering is fired in a covered kiln, rendering stunning creations that bear the artisanal stamp of exclusivity.

Where is it come from?

Hailing from Khurja, a city in the Bulandshar district of Uttar Pradesh, India, this handicrafts seller specializes in ceramic offerings ranging from flower vase to crockery essentials.
